- 1 c. shortening
- 4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring

1. Cut shortening into flour with a fork until the mixture is the consistency of small peas and corn meal.
2. Combine remaining ingredients and mix with flour.
3. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into various shapes with cookie cutters.
4. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
