- 3 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter flavored Crisco
- 1 c. butter
- 10 eggs
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt

1. Cream butter, Crisco and sugar together.
2. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
3. Add remaining ingredients and beat thoroughly.
4. Place in oven that was preheated at 275°.
5. Bake for 1 hour, then turn heat up to 300° and bake for another hour or until done.
