- 2 c. Aunt Jemima self-rising white cornmeal
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 egg, beaten

1. Combine ingredients; mix well.
2. Heat vegetable oil (approximately 2-inches deep) to 375°.
3. Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonful into hot vegetable oil.
4. Fry a few at a time, until golden brown.
5. Drain on paper towels.
6. Makes about 2 dozen.
7. They are delicious.
