Snickerdoodles (Boston Globe)

- ¾ cup butter
- 2 cups white granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Sugar
- Ground cinnamon
