- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. Crisco
- 4 well beaten eggs
- 1 (No. 303) can pumpkin
- 2/3 c. water
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spices
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/3 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/3 c. chopped dates

1. Cream sugar and Crisco, beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients together; stir into pumpkin mixture with dates and nuts.
2. Fill loaf pans 2/3 full batter.
3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
